HOW TO BOOK
You can book online or alternativley you can visit or telephone the Nova Tours Ltd office with your holiday request and you will be advised of holiday availability. To confirm the booking a £40 deposit per person per tour is required. If you wish to purchase travel insurance through us,this can be purchased on booking or on balance payment,the remuneration is required with the deposit.Please provide the deposit to our office within SEVEN DAYS. PLEASE NOTE If payment is not received within SEVEN DAYS the booking will be automatically withdrawn from the booking system and cancelled.

Payment can be by either cash, cheque, debit card or credit card. If payment is made by cheque please make payable to NOVA TOURS LTD and add booking reference number on the reverse of the cheque.

Balance is due SIX WEEKS before departure for all UK mainland tours. For tours to Isle of Man the balance is required EIGHT WEEKS prior to departure. If the balance payment is not received within the specific time, the booking will be automatically withdrawn from the booking system and cancelled. We will retain the deposit to cover administration costs.

PLEASE NOTE – WE DO NOT NOTIFY YOU WHEN TO PAY THE BALANCE
V.A.T is included in the cost of your holiday. However if the rate of V.A.T increases from 20% your balance will be amended accordingly. We ask you to check your receipt carefully as soon as you receive it; if you are unsure of any aspect please contact our office.

IF YOU WISH TO ALTER YOUR BOOKING – THIS CAN ONLY BE DONE AT DEPOSIT STAGE.

If you wish to change your booking to another departure date or tour we shall do our utmost to make the changes, provided written notification is received from the person who signed the booking form, not later than the date on which the balance of the original holiday cost was due for payment. This must be accompanied by a payment of £10 per person to cover administration costs. Any alteration made later than the original balance due date will be treated as a cancellation and will be subject to the cancellation charges set out below.

IF WE CANCEL YOUR TOUR
It is necessary for a minimum number of passengers to be carried on a tour for it to operate. Therefore we would offer you an alternative tour or give you a full refund if we cancel the tour.

IF YOU CANCEL YOUR BOOKING
If you want to cancel your booking or part of it, you must advise us in writing. Once we receive your notice of cancellation you should expect to receive a Cancellation Invoice within 14 days. If you do not receive a copy then please contact the office. To cover the cost of processing your cancellation and to compensate us for the risk that we may not be able to resell the holiday, we make a cancellation charge on the scale shown below. The person who made the booking is responsible for paying this charge. The size of the charge depends on when we receive your notification– the more notice you give, the less we will charge.

Deposits are non refundable under any circumstances.

Cancellation charges
These charges are based on how many days before your booked departure date we receive your cancellation notice. These charges are a percentage of the total cost of your booking, not including your insurance premium.

COMPLAINTS
If you have a complaint during your holiday you should tell the driver/representative or supplier at the earliest opportunity so they can do their utmost to resolve the problem immediately. 

CHILDREN
In our opinion the coach tours featured are unsuitable for young children. A reduction is applicable to children under 10 and applies ONLY when sharing a room with two full- fare paying adults. All child prices are available on request.

SPECIAL DIETS
if you have a special dietary need please inform the office at the time of booking.

DISABLED PASSENGERS
In order that our staff can check the suitability of your chosen holiday it is vitally important that the office is given full details upon booking of any disability or special requirements, unless we know about your requests we regret that we have no responsibility for any inconvenience caused.
WE CARRY FOLDING WHEELCHAIRS BUT NOT MOTORISED SCOOTERS AND NOT BATTERY POWERED WHEELCHAIRS. OUR OFFICE MUST BE NOTIFIED IF YOU INTEND TO TAKE A WHEELCHAIR OR WALKING FRAME.

LUXURY COACH TRAVEL
All our coaches have 49 reclining seats and fitted with seat belts, which MUST BE WORN. All Nova Tours coaches have air conditioning, toilet and wash room facilities and a drinks machine. If circumstances are beyond our control NOVA TOURS LTD reserves the right to use a coach without these facilities.

SEATING ALLOCATION
Requests for particular seats can be made on all tours when booking but it is on a first come first served basis. Early booking is advisable. When bookings are made you will be offered the best seat available for you on the coach at the time. NOVA TOURS LTD reserves the right to change seating allocations when circumstances require change.

PLEASE NOTE – GIFT VOUCHERS
Gift Vouchers may be redeemed on deposit and balances of holidays.

COACH ETIQUETTE
All our coaches are non smoking,including E-cigs, however, frequent stops are planned on all of our tour journeys and excursions.
PETS are not allowed on any of our coaches with the exception of GUIDE DOGS/HEARING DOGS
For the comfort of fellow passengers it is forbidden to play personal music without the use of headphones.

IMPORTANT

Do not leave items unattended on the coach. NOVA TOURS LTD are not responsible for any items left on the racks or seats.

LUGGAGE
We ask you to limit your luggage to one medium sized suitcase per person, weighing a maximum of 18KG. This is so we can handle your suitcases without problems such as porterage, taxi, boot space and total weight on the coach.

LOST PROPERTY
All lost property will be kept at the Nova Tours Office Chesterfield for a period of no more than one month.

DEPARTURE TIMES
It is your responsibility to be ready at the correct time and correct departure point. We accept no responsibility for late comers missing their transport. No compensation is given in the event of a breakdown.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL PASSENGERS TO ENSURE THEIR LUGGAGE IS COLLECTED FROM THE COACH BEFORE THE COACH DEPARTS. TAXIS ARE CHARGED AT £5.00 PER PERSON TO NOVA TOURS, A MAXIMUM OF FOUR PASSENGERS WILL BE CARRIED IN EACH TAXI.

PLEASE NOTE – OCCASIONALLY UNAVOIDABLE CHANGES HAVE TO BE MADE TO THE HOTEL OR ITINERARY AND ARE BEYOND THE CONTROL OF NOVA TOURS.

A TAXI PICK UP SERVICE COLLECTS YOU FROM YOUR HOME (SUBJECT TO AREA) TO JOIN THE COACH AT DESIGNATED PICK UP POINTS WHICH ARE:
CHESTERFIELD – CLAY CROSS – ALFRETON – RIPLEY – EASTWOOD – ILKESTON

A TAXI IS ALSO PROVIDED FOR YOUR RETURN JOURNEY HOME
WE DO NOT USE FEEDER COACHES YOU HAVE THE OPTION TO TO MEET THE COACH AT THE DESIGNATED PICK UP POINT.

Nova Tours Ltd is a company committed to customer satisfaction and consumer financial protection. We are therefore pleased to announce that, at no extra cost to you and in accordance with 'The Package Tours Regulations' all passengers booking with Nova Tours Ltd are fully insured for the initial deposit , and subsequently the balance of monies paid as detailed in your booking confirmation form. The policy also includes repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Nova Tours Ltd. This insurance has been arranged by Towergate Travel through Zurich Insurance PLC

Claims

In the unlikely event of insolvency you must inform Towergate Travel Immediatly on +44(0)1932 334140 or by e-mail at tcs@towergate.co.uk/ Please ensure you retain the booking confirmation form as evidence of cover and value.

Policy exclusions: This policy will not cover any monies paid for travel insurance or any claim relating to air flights. Please ensure the Company you have booked with has the appropriate CCA/ATOL bonds in place.

HOLIDAY INSURANCE
Whilst it is not a condition of booking that you take out a holiday insurance policy, we do strongly recommend that you do so,albeit it doesn't have to be the policy we offer you. Even when you're travelling within the United Kingdom you are at risk of having to cancel your trip following illness, accident or even being called up for jury service. In addition, if you find yourself in a position where you require medical attention during your trip and can't make your scheduled return journey, the NHS doesn't cover the cost of repatriation or additional accommodation costs.

A holiday insurance policy can be bought from Nova Tours Ltd to cover your trip with us. This scheme is arranged by Towergate Travel and is underwritten by ETI- International Travel Protection (ERV), the United Kingdom branch of Europaische Reiseverscherung AG, who are authorised by the Bundesanstalt fur Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht (BAFIN-www.bafin.de) and approved by the Financial Conduct Authority (fca-www.fca.org.uk) to undertake insurance buisness in the United Kingdom. Should you wish to take out this holiday insurance please include the appropriate premium when booking your holiday.

Demands  and Needs

This insurance policy will suit the demands and needs of an individual or group (where applicable) who have no excluded medical condition(s), are travelling in countries included within the policy terms and who wish to insure themselves against unforeseen circumstances/events detailed in the cover section below. Subject to the terms,conditions and maximum specified sums insured.

We will not provide you with advice about the suitablity of this product for your individual needs but will be happy to provide you with factual information.

We summarise below the details of the insurance cover provided, which also includes 24 hour emergency service from Towergate Assistance .The following is a  summary of the cover available. In any event, you may ask for a specimen copy of the policy wording before booking should you wish to examine this in advance.

SIGNIFICANT OR UNUSUAL LIMITATIONS OR WHAT IS NOT COVERED

  1. Cover is only available for the whole duration of a booked trip to a maximum 17-consecutive days and cover cannot be purchased once a trip has already begun.
  2. Most sections of the policy are subject to an excess. This is the amount you pay when making a claim. This applies to each and every claim, per incident claimed for by each insured person.
  3. Inside the United Kingdom abd the Isle Of Man you do not need to declare your medical conditions, but you must answer some questions to be covered for any medical conditions you have or have had.
  4. Travelling against medical advise or with the intention of obtaining medical treatment.
  5. Certain hazardous sports and activities.
  6. Personal effects - claims will be paid based on the value at today's prices less a deduction for wear & tear depreciation( loss of value)
  7. Losses of personal property, valuables,passport,visa or money must be reported to police within 24 hours of discovery and a written police report obtained.
  8. You are not covered for valuables,your passport or visa if left unattended at any time (including in a vehicle,in checked luggage or while in the custody of a carrier, tour operator or public transport operator) unless deposited in a hotel safe, safety deposit box or left in your locked accommodation.
  9. Stolen propertty: You are not covered for baggage stolen from: a An unattended coach/bus unless it was locked in the luggage compartment of the Coach/bus and evidence of force or violent entry to the vehicle is available, or b: the passenger compartment of any unatttended vehicle.
  10. You being under the influence of drink or drugs ( unless prescribed by a doctor)
  11. Circumstances known to you before you booked your trip or purchased this insurance which could reasonably have been expected to lead to cancellation of the trip.

 

RESIDENCY
This policy is only available to United Kingdom residents, defined as staying in or has lived in the United Kingdom for more than 12-months or is studying or working in the United Kingdom for more than 6 months.

HEALTH CONDITIONS

You must be able to comply with the following conditions to have the full protection of your policy. If you do not comply we may refuse to deal with any relevant claim or reduce the amount of any relevant claim payment.

You are required to declare your medical conditions. However, to be covered for any medical conditions you have or have had, you must be able to answer NO to questions 1 - 4 and YES to questions 5 & 6 a) & b) below:

  1. Are you aware of any reason why the trip could be cancelled or cut short (such as the health of a close relative)
  2. Are you travelling: a) against the advise of a medical practitioner,or b) for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment
  3. Have you been given a terminal prognosis.
  4. Are you receiving or awaiting treatment for any bodily injury,illness or disease as a hospital day care or in patient.
  5. If you are on prescribed medication,are your medical conditions stable and well controlled.
  6. If you suufer from stress,anxiety,depression or any other mental or nervous disorder, have you received wrtitten confirmation (at your cost) that you are fit enough to take this trip by either: a) a registered mental health professional (if you are under the care of a community Mental Health Team) or,b) a consultant specialising in the relevant field

You must notify MediScreen immediately on 0344 892 1698 of any changes in medical circumstances arising between the date the policy is issued and the time of departure for the trip. You may have to pay an additional premium to cover your medical condition. This applies to all destinations including trips solely within the United Kingdom (being defined as England, Scotland, Wales , Northern Ireland and the Isles Of Scilly)

MediScreen's office hours are 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday excluding bank holidays.

Examples of these and other conditions and exclusions are contained within the policy wording, a specimen copy of which is available on request.

If after purchasing a policy from us should you find it doe not meet your requirements, you have 14 days from the date of receipt of the policy documents or before departure, which ever is less, to cancel the policy and receive a full refund of your premium.

Nova Tours Limited is an appointed Representative of ITC Compliance Limited who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authortity (their firm reference is 313486) abnd which is permitted to advise on and arrange general insurance contracts.
